Meeting community leaders after the Town Meeting
Meeting community leaders after the Town Meeting

On 11th May, Unlocking Warwick gave a brief presentation of its activities to councillors, local organisations and members of the public at the annual Town Meeting in the Court House, where the Mayor, Cllr Christine Cross, reported on her year in office as it draws to a close.

There were other reports and presentations by District and County Councillors, the Chamber of Trade, and from a wide range of community groups and charities; some have received grants from the Town Council in the past year.

After the meeting, there were refreshments and an opportunity for participants and councillors to get to know some of the people who make Warwick such an active and conscientious town.

They were able to look at a display board about Unlocking Warwick’s current activities, and meet our Chair Karen Parker, Secretary Rick Thompson, and committee member Gillian Thompson..

At the suggestion of the Council, the display board is now in the Visitor Information Centre to give visitors an idea of the Court House volunteer group’s range of activities, and to point to our events coming up.

Feel free to drop in to have a look, and if you feel inspired to join Unlocking Warwick to help with our activities, email our Secretary Rick Thompson:  info@unlockingwarwick.org

Our next group meeting will be in the Court House on Monday June 12th at 6.30pm.
