Court House works nearing completion!

Refurbishment works on Warwicks’ Court House are now in their final stages – it’s looking like the building, fitting and decoration work will be complete by late summer. An official opening of the newly refurbished building is being planned for Spring 2014 – watch this space for details!

Currently the building is buzzing with activity as the lift begins to be fitted in it’s newly built shaft, stone repairs on the rear of the building and in the basement are carried out and the final decorating and fitting goes on in the new tourist information centre and the ballroom.

Over the next two week a complex set of manoeuvres will be carried out to move the tourist information centre to it’s new home, reinstall the renovated statue of justice and take down the scaffolding on the front of the building  whilst maintaining as much public access as possible. Obviously this will mean some closure of the TIC – a note will be posted here when the details are known.

Anyone one wanting to get involved in any aspect of the Court House or Yeomanry museum should get in touch via the contact form on the website.

Thank You!
