Remembrance Day Parade 2021
There was a particularly large turn-out for this year’s Remembrance Day Service and Parade on Sunday 14th November.
The morning service in St. Mary’s was followed by a short ceremony at the war memorial. The Choirs of St. Mary’s sang a beautiful arrangement of ‘They will not grow old”, the Rector, Vaughan Roberts led the prayers, and the Last Post was sounded by Adam Thompson from Warwick School before the two minutes’ silence at 11am. Then it was Reveille and the laying of wreaths by local military units, the Royal British Legion, the emergency services, civic leaders, churches and community groups.
There was warm applause from the crowd as they set off to march round the town. Here is a selection of pictures from the day.
