Turning the corner – clean stone and fresh paint!

With work on the Court house now reaching roughly the half way stage the exterior of the building is now been steam cleaned and the first coats of fresh paint have been applied to the stairway within the Court House.

Interestingly, as the old wallpaper was stripped in preparation for painting the older colour schemes have been revealed. The picture below shows the deep green and red paints that once adorned the stairwell – dark and stately!

Meanwhile on the outside of the building the sandstone has been steam cleaned – this work is ongoing! The picture below shows the line between dirty old stone and the new cleaned surface.
